Another "All Steinway" School

I don't really agree with "all steinway" schools. It just stinks of snobbery and PR to me. But here is an article from the kansascity.com...

"The University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg has joined the elite group of All-Steinway Schools, one of about 65 universities and music conservatories in that category in the United States.

The university earned that distinction with the recent acquisition of 22 new Steinway and Boston pianos also made by Steinway. UCM is the only All-Steinway School in Missouri and Kansas.

Steinway pianos are considered legendary. Steinway crafts roughly 5,000 pianos per year worldwide, taking one full year to handcraft each piano at the Steinway factory in Long Island City, N.Y.

"Achieving the status of an All-Steinway School has been a priority for many years," said Steven Boone, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences."
